L’objectif de ce site est la création d’un dictionnaire de référencement des objets monétiformes appelés: jetons, méreaux, palettes, pallofes, treizins, plombs, médailles, tesseres, etc…
Utilisés du Moyen Age jusqu’à nos jours dans toute l’Europe ces pièces ont fait l’objet de nombreux livres et catalogues de ventes. Ceux-ci sont nombreux, souvent spécialisés et parfois difficilement consultables.
La période couverte va jusqu’au début du XIXème siècle.
Ce dictionnaire va permettre aux numismates et historiens des recherches rapides et documentées par un référencement informatique multicritère associé à des photothèques.
Ces photos sont notamment utiles pour les pièces anépigraphes ou armoriées, celles-ci étant particulièrement difficiles à retrouver et attribuer.

The objective of this website is the creation of european online dictionnary for coins called : counters, tokens, boy bishop tokens, communion tokens, medals,etc…
Used from the Middle Ages to the present day, these coins have been the subject of many thousands books or sales catalogs.
The period covered by the data base goes from the middle age to the start of the XIXth century.
This dictionnary will allow numismatists and historians to quickly find a coin with a multi-criteria referencing.
The photo library and the armorial will help you to find the anepigraphics or emblazoned coins.
The database will be regularly update.
